How to appeal a violation notice
Deadline. Appeals are accepted for 10 days from the date on the notice.
How. Go to whistlerparking.com and choose the appeal option. You need the notice number, the licence plate, your reason, and any evidence such as a receipt, a screenshot of the session, or photos. Appeals are handled in writing only; our team cannot discuss a notice by phone.
While it is being reviewed. The amount is frozen at the value on the day you appealed. It does not increase while the appeal is open. Do not pay first: a paid notice is treated as settled and cannot be appealed or refunded. A decision is emailed, normally within a few days and at most 30 days.
Grounds that succeed
- A session was active for your plate at the time, or payment was made before the notice. Attach the receipt.
- The plate on the notice is not your vehicle's plate. Attach a photo of your plate.
- You paid, but with a plate mix-up. See article 1.
- The notice duplicates another one for the same stop.
Grounds that do not succeed
- Not seeing or not understanding the signs.
- Forgetting to pay, paying after the notice, or being only a few minutes over.
- Being in a hurry, from out of town, or unable to afford it.
- Medical and family emergencies. We are sorry to hear of them, but a notice is issued for the vehicle's registration, not the driver's circumstances.
- Any appeal on an account with another notice already in collections.
After a decision. If you disagree with a denial, send any evidence not already provided through our support page at whistlerparking.com/support, quoting the notice number. The decision email comes from an address that does not accept replies. One further review is given. Decisions are final after that.
