The notice is for the wrong vehicle, a rental, or a car with no plates

Wrong plate on the notice. Occasionally a plate is recorded incorrectly on a notice. Appeal with a photo of your plate and, if you paid, your receipt. If our photos show a different plate from the one on the notice, the notice is cancelled with our apology.

Rental or borrowed vehicle. The notice follows the vehicle, and the registered owner receives collections letters for it. If you were driving, pay or appeal the notice yourself within 10 days so the owner is not involved. Rental companies pass unpaid notices to the renter with an administration charge, so it is cheaper to deal with it directly.

No plates, or a temporary permit in the window. A vehicle without a readable plate cannot be registered by the apps. Park only where the pay station issues a receipt to display, or register the temporary permit number as the plate, exactly as printed. Where neither is possible, contact us before parking.
